Municipal Noise Ordinances and the Call to Prayer
It is considered one of the most important Ahadith. It has one snad (transmitter) and a clear command:
Abdullah asked the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), "Which deed is the dearest to Allah?" He replied, "To offer prayers at their earliest stated fixed times." Sahih al-Bukhari 527.
The Muezzin who recites the Adhan will speak the following:

This is power projection, behavior modification, and coercive control all collapsed into one action repeated five times throughout the day from the masajid of Muslim-majority nations.
Let us never forget: We are Americans. And it is our primary identity. Not all bow to this god who enslaves. We only triumph as a nation when we embrace and hold fast to our freedom.
There is zero need for the call to prayer in America. Muslim in America no longer need to await the "thin white line" on the horizon to know it is time for the early morning prayer. Nor is there the need to place the stick in the sand, and as recounted to me by a Syrian attorney, "When the shadow is the same length as the stick, it is time for the noon prayer." In America, we run on time. We do not run on Islamic commands.
Masajid post prayer times on their websites. Everyone has a cell phone in hand, or a clock in their home and office space. This practice which was instituted in the seventh century no longer has relevance for modern society. The practice is just as obsolete as water witching. We don't need forked sticks or forced neurological 'tics.
Municipalities must get in front of this and firm up noise ordinances so that Americans are free to go about their daily business without the harassment of a god who chases them down five times a day.
Firm up those noise ordinances.
We are America and we are Americans first. We are not a Muslim-majority nation. And we must hold fast to our values, including freedom from fear of encroachment and dominance of any one faith within our public square.
Let those of the Muslim faith find the consolation of their beliefs within their houses of worship and their homes. But let there be no pursuit of the rest of us; no confrontation that your god is better than my god. There is no maturity without discernment.
We were born free. And as for me, I intend to die free.
