As a journalist, I have had correspondence with men who knew Osama bin Laden, and one in particular, who visited with him several weeks prior to 9/11. I had a vibrant friendship with a man inadvertently drawn into the circle for the successful assassination of a Chechen president. My desire to capture the essence of Islam has taken me into a Hookah lounge late at night, into "observation status" in Shura council meetings, many years as a guest for Eid al Adha and Eid al Fitr meals, inside the circle of a coup and plans for a deposed president; women's parties and children's celebrations. I have correspondence from a Grand Ayatollah in Lebanon and received mentorship under a legal Mufti for a decade. In other words, I have had a bit of "intrigue" along the way. smile
I carry a deep understanding of Islam within my bones. This understanding comes from years of interface within the Muslim community, thousands of hours of conversation, and keeping more than a few journalism confidences along the way. As was told me by the Mufti, Islam and political Islam are one and the same. They cannot be separated. This is absolutely true. Islam is a government with a beard of religion which reinforces doctrine with behavior modification and not repentance.
I am a Christian. And I am an American. I am also an oathkeeper and the oath is bound within my heart and also embedded on my lips. Part of keeping that oath is to educate regarding Islam. We easily forget 9/11. Swofford never forgets.
For many years, I have stated, "London has fallen. They just do not know it yet."
Dearborn, Michigan has fallen. And a slave of Allah would love to kick out every single American citizen who dares to speak against a government based on predatory ascendancy which does not mind bulldozing everything in its path.
You should - be afraid of Islam. It is a natural and not an unnatural fear. But you should extend kindness to your Muslim neighbor in America. There are some who are learning what it means to be a part of our ongoing experiment in freedom.
You should - carefully examine Islam. And as you look at your Muslim neighbor, admit that you may lack the depth of knowledge to recognize that Islam unchecked by democracy is a cultural eraser and places a stake in the heart of human liberty.
In Texas, our Governor Greg Abbott understands this issue. A model from the Ottoman Sultanate prevails and was being used to create Sharia compliance on U.S. sovereign soil. Build the mosque. Then gradually enlarge the concentric circles around the mosque to create "no go zones" for non-Muslims and enforce Islam in Texas.
Here is the danger: Islam strengthens with confederacy and grows more potent with a subtle and very gradual establishment of para-parliamentary governance. Islam imprints over the established Republic. And it becomes the bag worms on the Tree of Liberty.
There is no word for assimilation in Arabic. But Islam? It seeks to subjugate the Western host.
I continue to have great love for the Muslim community. I want them to thrive in America... and learn to be Americans. But sometimes they just cannot help themselves. They are slaves of Allah. And the slave does not know how to be free.
Our job... the job of our government - is to dismantle the infrastructure and para-parliamentary overlay of Islam in Dearborn... Plano, Texas and beyond. But right now, the focus should be Dearborn.
All must be done legally, decently, and only through recognized chain of command. Use our nation's chain of command - whether it be on municipal or state level - to express a concern. But within your heart, keep the rallying cry, "Not on my watch!"
