Fluffy projects with potential for large scale graft do not impress me.   Climate change has a lovely ring to it - especially for the lucky bastards whose burgeoning wealth portfolios are dependent on this FrankenIndustry.   These policies roll the dice in favor of politicians, investors, and thieves in Piccadilly Circus suits.  What I call "the peasants beyond the moat"  suffer  the consequences of ill-laid plans.

Spain boasts a moderate climate. If the same disaster which befell Spain had befallen New York in the dead of winter, the human toll would have proven insurmountable.

It is suggested that the State of New York scrub the zero-emission school buses and heavy-duty charging stations and allocate the funds for NYPD.  What DHS has proposed is not punitive; rather it is the complex accounting of budgetary considerations for the next fiscal year.

In 2024 the GMP (gross metropolitan product) of New York  was over 2.6 trillion dollars, ranking first nationally by a wide margin.  New York State is the 8th largest economy in the world.  And yet their Gini coefficient needs a hard look.  How many of the children boarding zero-emission school buses will return to homes which are below the poverty line?  It seems priorities are skewed; or just the usual cash is king paradigm of our elected representatives.

I am confident Governor Kathy Hochul can easily adjust her own state budget to cover any deficits from the federal branch.

Charlie Kirk Memorial: Live Blog: The Largest Church Service in Human History

Live Blogging:  Charlie Kirk Memorial Blackfoot is comfortably snoozing in a different time zone.  So I will go ahead and start the post.  Undoubtedly, when I return to the desktop, Blackfoot will have added a few thoughts and I will enter the arena again. Security.  The word floated across my consciousness several times yesterday.  The perimeter of two stadiums and parking lots must be secured for the Charlie Kirk Memorial.  Within full envelope surveillance are tricks of the trade which most of us are unaware of - in blissful manner.
