For Immediate Release:  Hamas Press Briefing

As we welcome our brothers from the Israeli prisons, we are reminded of  Uthman, who was wrapped in a mat of palm leaves with a fire set under him; recall the travails of Bilal, the slave of Omaiyah bin Khalaf, who was beaten, subjected to deprivation of food and water;  of Ammar bin Yasir, who was beaten - and his father who died under torture. We remember the Muslims of rank who were wrapped in the raw skins of camels and left in the sun; and the many as-Sahaba who died in the Ridda Wars.  Let us never forget Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas who was first to beat and shed the blood of a polytheist for the sake of Allah.

We remind you of the story of Dhul-Qarnain... of al-Ghaib... of the world of the Alamin... of creatures with one sandal... of the crow of the cock and the bray of the donkey.  We remind you of what is headquartered on the seas.  We remind you of the words of Abu Huraira who narrated that Isa would descend and break the Cross and slay the pig.  We remind you of Dajjal and his seventy thousand Jews.  It will always be the Jews.

As we welcome back Mahmoud Qawasmeh, Imad Qawasmeh, Morad Bader Abdullah Adais,  Bilal Ajarmeh, Hilmi Abdul Karim Muhammad Hammash, Iyad Abu al Rub, Ahmad Ismail Ahmad Qawassmeh, Baher Badr, Ismail Hamdan, Mohammad Nasser Sha’aban Abu Rabea, and others, let us bestow upon them the honor and  rank that is earned from being imprisoned.

Let us also not forget our brother, Hassan Nasrallah, who reminded us of our future success:

"We are not defeated.  When we triumph, we triumph, when we are martyred, we triumph."

From the speech of the martyred Secretary General of HizbAllah, Lebanon, at the commemoration ceremony of the martyred General Hajj Qassem Soleimani, the martyred Abu-Mahdi al-Muhandis and their companions - January 5, 2020

May we remember that when one is killed, one hundred take his place.  And when we fall back, it is so that we may fight another day.  Let us not forget the nine Ghazwa (pl. Ghazwat) of Prophet Muhammad: Badr, Uhad, Muraiseeh, Khandaq, Quraizah, Khaibar, Makkah, Hunaian, and Taif.  Neither must we forget his eighteen reconnaissance missions and expeditions known as "saraya". These activities continue, even today.  We must read the thoughts within the books of Maghazi, and take to heart that our prophet was a Commander, and his commands were received from Allah.

As we remember our history, our brothers are welcomed back into our ranks.

Fi Sabillilah,

Hamas
