Mark Sanchez:  Beelzebub Bully

Early, inaccurate reports state there was an "altercation" or a "disagreement".  Both words are inappropriate depictions for what occurred.  An elderly man is performing his job.  He is properly parked and has legal access to the facility for which he is providing a service.

Mark Sanchez had a bit too much of Beelzebub in a bottle.  He went all Philistine on his target, and confronted, bullied, and severely injured his victim.  Thank God, the victim had a knife.   Otherwise, we would be reading an obituary.

F =  ma.

At six feet two inches, a weight of greater than 200 lbs., and a career as a professional quarterback, what was the mass x acceleration exerted from the force of this man being slammed into a dumpster? How many pounds per square inch of his flesh impacted with metal?  And let us not forget the large knife gash in the cheek also penetrated the victims tongue.  Thankfully, it was not a periorbital injury.

The much smaller and less physically capable man did not pick a fight. Mark Sanchez was a raging drunk and set about to teach him a lesson.  And he did it because he chose to drink in excess.

Were the victim my father, I would be springing Mark Sanchez out of the Crossbar Hotel and greeting him with a bat-carrying posse of relatives. There is no punishment too great for the man who attacks a working geriatric.

I take a step back. We are a nation of laws.  And the courts are for our advocacy.

Or are they?  Can Sanchez buy his way out of this with his fortune and fame?

May the jury not perform as a boxed-set of idiots.  But may they faithfully perform their duty and uncork the other bottle, which while being used in sparing manner,  must also find place in the pantry of our minds:  Righteous Anger.  Let that anger be unleashed against the foolish man who courted Beelzebub and thought he could remain untouched by the acquaintance.
