I love democracy!  I really do.   Now we have a campaign which is "Powered by Jesus Christ"! It doesn't get any better than this!  smile

And what better depicts Texas - than a woman brandishing two weapons? -  One is brandished across her double barrels and the other is held in her left hand.   

But I digress....  Let's deconstruct the words of Valentina Gomez.

"The F.B.I. told me the Muslims want to kill me."    

If someone wanted her dead, she would be dead.  Zzzz

"But I only fear the one true King, Jesus Christ."

Maybe she should fear that she can place both feet into her mouth at the same time.

"... I will never let these dirty Muslims take over Texas."

At least she didn't call them cockroaches. That is the trigger which allowed for hundreds of  corpses to float down into Lake Victoria in 1994. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright failed in her role with a delayed  entry of the American voice regarding the Rwandan Genocide.

"...or it's only a matter of time before your daughter gets raped by Muhamad."

It is important that if you choose to deliver an insult that you spell the name right.

"When I'm in Congress we will ban burqas and halal food...."

Don't leave out the Jewish Rabbi and the price gouging for kosher food, Valentina.   Ball Park Franks are $3.82 per pound.  Hebrew National premium cut beef franks are  $18.00 per pound.  Did my nostrils just catch the scent of a delicious crime?

If Ms. Gomez is "Powered by Jesus Christ"  she should heed the words found in Mark 12:30-31.

The Bible is never meant to be weaponized.  And she appears as unqualified to represent our interests in Congress as Rep.  Jasmine Crockett. That woman, has the I.Q. of a low-grade fever.   

But here is the great thing about Democracy!  Everyone has a shot at running for office! And every citizen is allowed their one vote.   This brings societal health.  And at the end of the day, we generally survive the more mouthy and bitchy of our candidates and representatives.

* Journalism note:  I actually interviewed a survivor of the Rwandan Genocide. She hid in the closet of a protective family for many days.  Christians - were also targeted.

Mohamed Elhassan He is powerful, made up of imperceptible layers.  He was only in his mid-teens when he first heeded the call to political action traveling to the Republic Palace of President Jafar Nimeiri seeking justice for his family. Charlie Kirk Memorial: Live Blog: The Largest Church Service in Human History

Live Blogging:  Charlie Kirk Memorial Blackfoot is comfortably snoozing in a different time zone.  So I will go ahead and start the post.  Undoubtedly, when I return to the desktop, Blackfoot will have added a few thoughts and I will enter the arena again. Security.  The word floated across my consciousness several times yesterday.  The perimeter of two stadiums and parking lots must be secured for the Charlie Kirk Memorial.  Within full envelope surveillance are tricks of the trade which most of us are unaware of - in blissful manner.
