Rep. Aftyn Behn: The Usual Bullshit


She is a woman who despises the culture and traditions held dear by generations who call Tennessee home.  She has verbalized hatred for the state which she represents, and is strongly bigoted against the constituents she wishes to represent.  And she just might win her election.   The voting public is just that stupid.

I tire of the pseudo-journalists who no longer firmly grasp the chalice of thought and seem more like speech therapists doing a dysphagia evaluation. You will receive a few bites of scrambled eggs, a thickened liquid, and then are reminded to swallow hard.  The interview is over, and you still don't know what the Hell the candidate represents - except in this particular case - you shouldn't have swallowed the scrambled eggs.

I tire of the Aftyn Behn of American politics.  They offer up foot bridges of thought; no supporting arches; and every media confrontation is canalized into a narrative which conveniently travels along to a blockade;  where the infantile gestures of our politicians mask the imperfections, foolishness, and hatred of our candidates against our institutions and the average good people who place their trust in them.

Ms.  Behn is the community activist who rails against the over-reach of the Federal Branch and the state. But she fails to express gratitude for the fact that 25.6 percent of Tennessee's government revenue came from federal transfers in 2022.

Describing herself as a "pissed off social worker"  her claims to fame are "raised awareness"... "helped pass"... "led the fight"... and, "has a track record" for... well, practically nothing, if you really think about it.

Swallow hard.  And then remember that we generally get (and are punished with)  the government which we deserve.  Cast each vote carefully.

Live Blogging:  Charlie Kirk Memorial Blackfoot is comfortably snoozing in a different time zone.  So I will go ahead and start the post.  Undoubtedly, when I return to the desktop, Blackfoot will have added a few thoughts and I will enter the arena again.
