The Game


The first time I played the game was as a nursing student.  My clinical instructor in peri-op assigned me  to observe an elective surgical abortion.  I refused.   This was not a religious rebellion.  It was an act of conscience.   

Did my action make a difference in the 63,459,781 abortions since Roe V Wade became law in 1973?  No.  But did my action make a difference in how I defined the value of every single human being?  Yes.  I played the game.  Now it is time for you to play.

You have to make one choice for the only question.  You cannot opt out of "The Game".

Whose hand will you shake?  They all killed for a cause.

A friend disagreed with me regarding Al Julani's visit to the White House.  "There is diplomacy behind the scenes... there is the big picture... these things take time."

Let's deconstruct the arguments: 

Diplomacy behind the scenes means that Al Julani is met by State Department deputies and not the SecState.  He is humiliated in public manner and scolded by the United States.  There will be no release of funds to a terrorist-turned-president.  

There is only one big picture:  It is always about his victims.  The big picture is a mosaic which contains the faces of every man, woman, child, and baby who have been slaughtered, tortured, or sold into slavery by a man who can only be known for his sophisticated level of cruelty.

There is no such thing as time.  There are Christian and Alawite... Druze women in Syria who have already run out of time.  Many - already sold into sexual slavery may not have a year... a month... or perhaps  a week, before they run out of time.  If they have managed to catch a glimpse of Al Julani at the White House, or the bit of a "salute" that the Commander-in-Chief offered to a madman as he sat across from his desk - they will have lost hope.  (I do not believe the image was AI generated)

We are diminished on the world stage.  We have shown ourselves to be no better - and perhaps worse - in the greater scheme of things.  Those who have no compunction against cruelty watch carefully. China watches us.  North Korea carefully observes.  Putin is probably chuckling.  "You are not better than me.  No, not one whit."

Reagan is dead.  And so is his vision.

Charlie Kirk Memorial: Live Blog: The Largest Church Service in Human History

Live Blogging:  Charlie Kirk Memorial Blackfoot is comfortably snoozing in a different time zone.  So I will go ahead and start the post.  Undoubtedly, when I return to the desktop, Blackfoot will have added a few thoughts and I will enter the arena again.
