Let's Peek into the Box
The questions to be answered were:
What demographic is the target?
What type of weapon?
Single or multiple assailants?

Let's peek into the box.
The cat - is from Yamama. The weapon is a poison. It will be a single assailant. The target will be the Jewish population. A book on my shelf reminds me that the last act of Prophet Muhammad before his death was to pull a simple cloth made of hajr fabric over his face and curse the Jews. He definitely left a legacy, now didn't he?
Years ago - a single casual remark from a Pakistani in the U.S. allowed to me to venture into the box. And from his recollection of an event in his life, I developed a theoretical approach to the study of Islam. It has always been based on signals.
The Schrodinger's Cat blog - is a simple exercise, for the purpose of an introduction to signals. There is no cat and there is no box. But we do continue to face down and deal with threats related to acts of Islamic Jihad on U.S. soil.
*Signals can be multi-faceted. Surah al Kahf has a lot of signals and back stories; but I have yet to figure out why an ordinary dog makes an appearance in the tale.
It would be a death warrant were I required to generate computer code to save my own life. Tech tard. I can barely open my e mail. But what I can decode are the signals generated within casual conversations with leading geopolitical Islamists. I am also able to send signal back. I once sent a very simple signal when seated at an inter-faith dinner at a local mosque. It was directed to the man directly across from me. Later, when we shared a meal together for the first time - what was shared was in the category of "what cannot be shared" on this page. But it all began with an Ahadith - directed at this one man.
Do we have the necessary analysts with this particular skill set? I dunno. Here I sit. At my computer and with my thoughts. But I am not writing about punks like Milo Ali Sedarat. He didn't signal. But he did shoot off his mouth and now he will have to pay the price for his terror threats and delusions of grandeur.
One weakness within the writings of our analytical community must be noted. And it is the weakness of applying Western variables to Jihad. Jihad resides within its own galaxy of thought. And for myself, the compartment exists under lock and key. I deeply understand the potency of the linguistics and the signals. But when we attach our pre-conceived notions to "why" Jihad events occur; we merely lack an understanding of the powerful nature of this vortex of thought.
Can we do better? Of course! We are Americans. But as I noted regarding the Bourbon Street attack where so many lives were both lost and forever changed - there are signs (ayat) and not just warning signs, which we will have missed. Our citizens deserve better.
