Iran: The Narrative
Move over coffee, this is a job for alcohol.

The narrative on January 6th played out like the fall of Rome, when a small group of protesters took it upon themselves to devolve to herd mentality to make their voices heard. (Fun with homophones) Rome still stands, our Constitution was not shredded, and we retain a functioning Republic.
We whistle a happy tune, seeing citizen herds on a narrow bridge, or the more scattered herds rampaging through the streets of the cities of Iran. Not unlike President Erdogan, the Grand Ayatollah uses these dust-ups to snatch and grab the ringleaders and open a few trap doors for the remainder.
The Lord of the Ring might indeed exit the stage, but those being caught up in the security net which is being dropped stand little hope of their stories being told. The walls don't speak at Evin prison.
