Just Don't

It was so much fun - until it wasn't.

Nursing provides many memorable moments.  In general, I have always handled the stress of caring for critically ill patients very well.  I am in my element and confident. After all, these clients are receiving care from my capable hands.  It is the families - who can be problematic for the busy R.N.

One day I entered a room to find the family was using their cell phone to archive my every move.  Not being one to take crap - because my Daddy raised me right - I firmly shut down their stupidity.  If they could not trust me to care for their family member, I would request to be relieved of this assignment.

Why the Hell does anyone consider themselves "Bruce Almighty" enough to confront, bait, and video law enforcement officers engaged in chain of command operational actions?

Seventeen seconds:  Shit!  Here it is!  Here it comes!

Thirty seconds:  "U.S. citizen!"

Thirty-three seconds: "You want to come at us?  You want to come at us?"

Thirty-six seconds:  "I say, go get yourself some lunch, big boy."

Forty-five seconds:  Dead.   Dead, before the van hits another vehicle.

My sons have always been taught the Respect and Fear dynamic for any interaction with law enforcement.  Respect them, because they took an oath.  Fear them, because they have the authority of the state behind them. Have a problem with law enforcement?  File a complaint. And then walk away from your laptop.

Just Don't.

Just Sayin'.
