Kathryn Ruemmler: The Issue of Personal Honor


Plausible deniability. Isn't that one of the primary tools used by practicing attorneys in defense of a client?  It will be the posture of this attorney.  I knew him professionally... but I barely knew him.

But Kathryn Ruemmler was in a close enough relationship with Jeffrey Epstein that he would dispatch his assistant to assure she received first-class upgrades to her living quarters when searching for a new apartment. He also knew her dining preferences.   Most likely, she also knew his history of dining preferences with minors. How could she possibly be that smart and clueless at the same time?  It just doesn't work that way.  She is Leon Black - in a skirt; part of a tight circle of influential friends who knew the man very, very well.  The issue now becomes one of personal honor.  And it will be very difficult for her to make that case on her own behalf.

Years ago, I sat down for an interview with two vice squad officers from my city.  It was interesting for naive, lil' me to enter a world where our oath keepers were only allowed two years rotation duty in vice because of the psychological toll it could inflict on their humanity. If they wanted to continue, a full psychological work-up was required.  But what I did not understand is that the "in house" prostitution which ran along all of the hospitality corridors which then threaded their way toward DFW International Airport were predominantly run by women.  Have a nice long layover between flights?  Check into a hotel and pick up the phone. A woman's voice answers your call and a woman will send out a girl... or two, dependent on your sexual neurosis or issues with humiliation.  Your wife might not know about your side hobby. But the woman answering the phone knows all about you.  Yeah - she knows all about your weaknesses, you weak little man.

God knows too.  Because God always cares for and keeps track of the little girls who will grow up to be the women who replenish the earth.  Ms.  Ruemmler?  God knows about her too.  But His annotation about her is on a different page of a different book.

I have always stated with sincerity, that I would rather have a fat, kind friend than a skinny friend with a mean streak.   Ms. Ruemmler  would have a mild panic attack over weight gain but there was no panic regarding men who weighed 300 pounds bearing down on the pelvis or backside of a little girl who was being raped.  

Personal achievement is not the same thing as personal honor.  What Ms. Ruemmler now holds in her hand is the paltry sum of a life which was not well-lived.

Live Blogging:  Charlie Kirk Memorial Blackfoot is comfortably snoozing in a different time zone.  So I will go ahead and start the post.  Undoubtedly, when I return to the desktop, Blackfoot will have added a few thoughts and I will enter the arena again.
