Kristi Noem: Exculpatory Evidence that Does not Match the Video
The video below is the most significant one which I have viewed of the shooting of Alex Pretti. The initial scene with the officer shoving the protesters has the look of how a girl fights. Is it a female officer? I don't know. But the constant use of a chemical irritant seems excessive.
Why was Mr. Pretti being beaten? What justification for this behavior? He was merely trying to protect a woman from the next blast from the canister of the agent. Not one time did I see him make a fist. Not one time did I see him advance on the agent for harm. Not one time, did he reach into his waistband for his weapon. All of his movements are defensive: hand raised in the air, steps backward, trying to assist one of the women on the ground. These are the actions of a gentleman and not a "domestic terrorist".
The weapon is secured. And then an unarmed American is murdered. An American is shot like a defenseless dog. Pressure must build. Congress and governors must respond to levels of aggression against citizens which are unacceptable and dangerous.

Ms. Noem issued a strong statement meant as exculpatory evidence. The dirt doesn't launder well. And it is stuck on the rinse cycle.

Is this who we are as Americans and is what happened to Alex Pretti acceptable? This is not the America that I know and that I love.
