Minneapolis: Preserving Freedom for the Lawful
Unruly and non-peaceful protests must be dealt with in lawful manner so that the rights of those who respect the blessing retain the privilege.

Americans can protest any action of the government. It is a Constitutional right. There should be zero abridgment of this freedom to give voice to concerns. Voice = Liberty.
What is happening in Minneapolis is not a Gordian knot. There is a simple solution. Because when crowds are playing trombones, beating drums, blowing whistles and clanging pans in the middle of the night they are violating the noise ordinance.
City code dictates permitted times and conditions, decibels beyond ambient levels when within indoors and with windows closed. When the threshold is exceeded, it is becomes a municipal enforcement action. Exemptions include air traffic, rail traffic, emergency repairs, permitted events, sports events, etc. But there is no allowance in the Minneapolis City Code (Title 15, Chapter 389) for trombones, drums, whistles and pan dystopian symphonies in the middle of the night.
This is an easy fix. The crowds are asked to disperse because they are violating the noise ordinance. If they refuse, let the arrests begin for defying a lawful order.
