Winter Night Reading

I am taking a bit of a look at Sudan tonight.  I am not sure "element of surprise" is a term which can be copyrighted - but am enjoying what I am reading tonight.  I am trying to regain a bit of a grasp for what is happening on the ground.  Sudan does have a robust and efficient Intelligence Directorate.  The military seems to lag behind a bit.

I have sent a note to my friend, Mohamed Elhassan, regarding an article which points to the use of  adolescent boys within the battle space in Sudan.  Awaiting clarification... but I doubt this is happening; at least not on a coordinated and large scale.

Should you care to join me on this journey:

I love the Sudanese people.   The decimation of the Rapid Defense Forces is necessary for Sudan to return to some semblance of normalcy and stability. This is a difficult task because of the support the RSF receives from the UAE,  Russia and China - who have their own reasons for wanting to be in Sudan.  Three guesses and the first two don't count....

My prayers are extended to the women and children of Sudan tonight.  They are caught up and engulfed in events not of their own making. May God keep them safe.
