Reports are that the cartel members are targeting the families of police officers and soldiers with both kidnapping and executions. Hundreds have been killed.  Vehicles are also being commandeered for various uses.

In what seems an unwise move,  the body of "El Mencho" was moved by ambulance to Mexico City.  The video I watched showed reporters scrambling near the ambulance and what looked like a motorcade fit for the funeral of a dignity as it traveled down the street with his remains.  This alone - inflames the situation.

My best guess is that El Mencho's son will be in U.S. custody because of Mexico's history of allowing their cartel bosses to escape prison.   El Chapo comes readily to mind.   

Problematic, is that some of the top tier forces now fighting against cartel members remain as the same individuals who received their monthly slice of the pie for working with (and not against) maintaining the logistics of moving drug products from Mexico into the United States.

Live Blogging:  Charlie Kirk Memorial Blackfoot is comfortably snoozing in a different time zone.  So I will go ahead and start the post.  Undoubtedly, when I return to the desktop, Blackfoot will have added a few thoughts and I will enter the arena again.
