Women's Olympic Gold: Feet of Clay
The demographic for the women's U.S. Olympic Hockey team is made up of sixteen players from the PWHL (Professional Women's Hockey League) and seven NCAA athletes. They represent a broad national footprint stretching from Minnesota to Wisconsin, Massachusetts to Ohio, and beyond.
But they also present as Terry Prachett's novel, "Feet of Clay". They may wear the gold, but they are creatures of clay forced to obey the imprinted instructions in their head:

Slaves. They are little clay slaves. Because I find it very hard to believe that not one of these adults will break free... demand her right to freedom of expression... and take her place at the SOTU Address seated on the same aisle as our First Lady.
Do not call them feminists. They are the ultimate antithesis of what women fought for in prior generations. It is an unhealthy sisterhood which carefully obeys the imprint.
Is there one woman? One free woman who is willing to step forward and endure the bullying of her team mates? Because gold-on-clay is such a waste.
