Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani


The Grand Ayatollah has not been seen in public for quite some time now.  He receives very few visitors and his work is accomplished "by direction" with his deputies in charge.  But a statement has been released which speaks of the community obligation to support the Islamic (Republic) State.

I could say quite a bit more about what is currently happening in the Middle East, but it seems an inappropriate moment in time.  And should I write - it will be to educate regarding the terrain of the mind.

I have stated, we will not be able to move the needle by attacking Iran.  But now, my needle is threaded with sadness.  It seems appropriate to limit my time on line a bit more; a time for reflection.

Mohamed Elhassan He is powerful, made up of imperceptible layers.  He was only in his mid-teens when he first heeded the call to political action traveling to the Republic Palace of President Jafar Nimeiri seeking justice for his family.
