It is against my ethical framework as a journalist to post extremely graphic images.  But I am making an exception due to the primitive brutality visited on a man by the government of Bahrain.  There may have been a legitimate need to arrest him.  There is no legitimacy attached to torture.  I have always spoken against the barbarity of such practices.  I believe these images are valid.  Bahrain must be brought to account for unspeakable police  and security interrogation actions.

Mohamed Elhassan He is powerful, made up of imperceptible layers.  He was only in his mid-teens when he first heeded the call to political action traveling to the Republic Palace of President Jafar Nimeiri seeking justice for his family.
