China Pushes Back
The link for this information is copied beneath the English translation synopsis:
Important: Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has signed a State Council decree promulgating a new set of regulations to counter the exercise of “illegal extraterritorial jurisdiction” by foreign countries.
According to the regulations, “extraterritorial jurisdiction” refers to actions taken by a foreign country that:
• Violate international law and the basic principles of international relations
• And harm China’s sovereignty, security and development interests
• Or harm the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens and organizations
🔹 The regulations stipulate that:
• The Chinese government has the authority to take countermeasures in response to such actions
• And if there is a “sufficient connection”, it can itself exercise extraterritorial jurisdiction over related behaviors.

Unrelated addendum:
It remains important to consider the role of our think tanks in creating an intellectual architecture which undergirds and validates Pentagon planning and mission concepts. Take a moment and educate yourself.
The usual disclaimer from me applies: I retain a personal bias against some of our think tanks because I view them as highly corrupted political constructs dependent on patronage, which in turn, dilutes their own intellectual strength and ability to provide truthful reports to the general public.
