Iran Secures our Pilots:  With updates to original post


Last night I watched the footage posted of the IRGC of the successful targeting of our fighter jet.  This morning, a claim they have our pilots.  Now as to whether they have our pilots by the seat of the pants, or only our pilot's seats remains to be seen.

But due to the flight pattern of the aircraft it seems likely our pilots are now in POW status.  I will await images. I will post them - for proof of life - for the sake of their families.

Iran claims to have also successfully downed a Blackhawk UH-60 helicopter attempting a rescue effort near Iran's border, but not actually within their airspace.

Awaiting the truth:  CENTCOM posts regarding the battlespace on any given day.  But some of the platforms I follow are fairly accurate too.

I am unable to find an image of the pilots. It seems likely that Iran would wish to show off their trophies rather quickly.  One site is showing an image from "Top Gun" with Tom Cruise.  Daily Mail and Axios have also broken this story.  But we may all need to backtrack and apologize for falling prey to a disinformation campaign.  I will continue to seek to verify this story.

The IRGC is offering a reward of ten billion tomans for the capture of the pilot/pilots of the downed aircraft.  Talk about a lottery!  The manhunt is concentrated in Yasuj and includes citizens roaming about hoping for a payday.
