Iran's Rapid Entry into the Second Stage of Warfare
Whilst our fun-loving American President has posted an image of himself as Jesus, I would prefer that he function as Moses. At least the latter, was able to part the Red Sea.
What has astounded me - and I am a strategic gnat - is how Iran entered the second stage of warfare as soon as our airships began to drop their payloads on Iranian soil. Geography aided them. But it is a strategic triumph of reflexive control. On 28 February, Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz. And as stated by author Keir Giles, (this action is) a "key asymmetric enabler to gain critical advantages, neutralising the adversary's strengths..." (p 19)

Our "bombs bursting in air" strategy was reduced to a unilateral global focus on a choke point which is essentially reduced to a six mile critical width waterway with a traffic separation pattern of two miles inbound, two miles outbound, and two miles clearance between.
Iran has forced us into an escalating-downward-spiral of an oxymoron with the Strait of Hormuz serving as a type of reflexive control. There is no need to drop disinformation into our chain of command nor command decisions, using the standard Russian playbook. The waterway is the reflexive control. Iran is saying, "jump". And we say "how high?" And as we escalate the rhetoric, the downward spiral continues. And with it - the very real drift of perceptual control which now seeks to control the narrative. We are reduced to a maritime marionette. The world knows it. We know it. And we are receiving a wooden response from our allies.
It is bizarre, really - how the MAGA crowd will state, "Only Donald Trump will be able to open the Strait of Hormuz". Isn't he the one that caused it's closure? Yet as I listen to occasional communications released by Iran of ships seeking passage through the Strait, the threats are firm. Very real. Being allowed a mere thirty minutes to tuck tail before facing Iran's wrath will place the sweat on the brow of any God-fearing captain.
So from the beginning, reflexive control. And now the more subtle perceptual control. Americans will begin to react to our own escalating downward spiral of purchasing power. What would Jesus do? I don't really know. Because in my own life I have found that Jesus wants me to clean up my own messes and learn from them. And then, He extends grace. Iran, is not Jesus.
