Jan-Fada


Approximately three weeks ago, Iran platformed the Jan-Fada campaign.  Nearly 27 million Iranians have signed on to be martyrs in defense of the homeland.



The news is not surprising.  Karbala is about history.  Ashura is a psychological imprint; a re-enactment combined with grieving and passion.  A yearly reminder.  The Shi'a retain the embers in the blood from a fiery protest by Husayn against the Umayyad Caliph Yazid.  Nobody does martyrdom - better than the Shi'a.

Mohamed Elhassan He is powerful, made up of imperceptible layers.  He was only in his mid-teens when he first heeded the call to political action traveling to the Republic Palace of President Jafar Nimeiri seeking justice for his family.
