Congressmen spiking women's drinks, raping and choking them into unconsciousness, and relying on a taxpayer funded "slush fund" to whitewash their misdeeds.  Gosh!  America.  The beautiful!

And then we have a despicable narrative:

Would it be more appropriate to state: 

"Staffers who are the targets of unwanted sexual advances will sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement if they want to receive compensation."

Unfortunately, if raped, the issue of hush-money compensation must take into account the transactional nature of prostitution.  Since prostitution involves an agreement regarding specific sexual acts offered for a specific price, the woman is further humiliated the moment she signs the NDA. She has essentially received payment for the sexual preferences of her attacker.  Yep.  You are receiving $50,000 for being forced to your knees.  $100,000 for being bent over.  And $25,000 for vaginal sex.  Lucky, lucky ewe.

And since when, does a woman who has been raped "pay the bills" when reporting out a crime which requires investigation?  Our tax dollars pay for her defense.  But our tax dollars should never be used to cover up sexual crimes of our elected representatives.  And what I really want to know, is if any of Eric's early victims were paid to keep their mouths shut?  If so - this made it possible for him to continue hunting as a predatory serial rapist. This makes our Congressional body complicit in the crimes of their seatmates.  Disgusting.  Really. It is disgusting.

It can only be hoped that Eric Swalwell finds himself incarcerated in the general prison population and afraid to sleep, much less bend over to pick up a bar of soap.
