Pedophilia as a "Cultural Misunderstanding"

What a moment of Enlightenment!  Pedophilia as a "cultural misunderstanding".

Pedophiles generally target the trust of the adult guardian or that of the minor child.  In the case of my husband and myself, our trust was assaulted first - but we recognized the dynamic prior to our child being harmed.

Our church was exploding with growth, and one of the first mega-churches in the nation.  Hence, the need to begin an earlier worship service but with a less desirable time for families. We had spilled over from Sunday at 10 a.m. to a second service on Saturday night.  Now, we were ready to launch another option. Since I was a pivotal leader in women's ministry, our family was asked to join a group for prayer thirty minutes prior to the beginning of the eight o'clock service. This was not a one time commitment, but one which required several months of commitment.   Our eldest son was three years old.  A trusted and kind gentleman offered to take our son to the adjacent education building to prepare the classrooms for the children.  His wife, was employed as the head of the Children's Department. We were grateful for his gesture. What a wonderful couple!  He was a "Christian". There was no fear of a "cultural misunderstanding".

About a month later, our son informed us that "Mr. Bill" had taken him off campus to buy a cup of coffee for himself and an orange juice for our son.  The campus had a staff lounge with coffee and ample snacks.  Quickly, we regained custody of our son and asked the important questions which a three year old would understand while concurrently seeking not to instill fear.  The next week - the very next week - the man had another three year old boy in hand as another kind gesture. He was targeting another set of parents.  Ahhh.  He had a preference. He wanted to assault three year old boys. We took this "cultural misunderstanding" to leadership.

Manoj Govindbalunikam

The assailant has a master's degree in aerospace engineering. Education just makes the more educated criminal.  What he did was a crime.  Luckily, the kidnapping did not end with the sexual assault of the boy.  Manoj Govindbalunikam has probably assaulted more children than he has vowels in his name.  But he did not awaken at age 37 to the criminal opportunities for pedophilia.  He has harbored these vulgar and predatory tendencies for many  years.

When you educate your small children use the proper biological terms. Communicate on their level of understanding, and please define and use the word "crime".  Teach them it is proper to report out a crime.

Example:  "If a man asks to touch your penis it is a crime.  If he tells you he will hurt your parents if you tell the secret, it is a crime.  This person needs to be punished."

And certainly, if a man takes a child without the parent's permission and has images of him enjoying an ice cream cone recorded on his device, minimally, those images will be manipulated to show him being assaulted.

Mr. G is a monster.  I can only hope that India will deal with this monster in more appropriate manner when he is deported.
