Russia-Belarus Joint Nuclear Exercises

I imagine that President Vladimir Putin is tired of war.  Major conflicts are easy to start but incredibly hard to wind down and bring to an acceptable endpoint.  Ukraine is still busy kidnapping their able-bodied men off the streets to use as cannon fodder. Russia has lost a generation of future breadwinners.  Everybody is tired of the shit.  And in the Biblical sense, the earth is groaning under the weight of war.

On our side,  military doctrine holds to a belief that our armed forces can manage two theaters of operation at one time.  And within our vaults, contingency plans which are updated every month for the various conflict zones across the globe.  We have the best planners, analysts, and strategists available to our Republic.  And while we are currently dealing with a quagmire in Iran, and possibly planning a rather easy side hustle into Cuba (Can we bring Raul Castro aboard a Chinook in his wheelchair?), the fact is that nobody wants Russia to erupt in spectacular isotopic manner.

So for the moment, all eyes are on the joint nuclear exercises of Russia with the polydactyly on  'Vlad's right hand.  "Dear President Trump.  Attend your son's wedding.  The situation with Iran is a bit of a snoozer."

Press Releases Coming from the Bear:

"Russia announced that its military has increased its request for the production of the RS-28 Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile with a range of 20,000 kilometers and a high speed.

This missile weighs more than 200 tons and can carry 10 to 20 tons of conventional or nuclear warheads, including the Avangard hypersonic glide warhead with a speed of 33,000 kilometers per hour.

Currently, in exercises with Belarus, we are witnessing the firing of this missile from one end of Russia to the other in tests.

I would like to remind you that Russia and Belarus have recently started the world's largest nuclear exercise together since the early 1990s, and after this huge exercise involving about 70,000 people, some of Russia's nuclear weapons will be delivered to the Belarusian army."

"The joint Russai-Belarus military exercises escalated with the deployment of Tu-95MS strategic long-range bombers.  The heavy bombers successfully executed live launches of advanced hypersonic crusie missiles."

"Any drills are part of military development, and any drills are a signal." Kremlin Spokesman Peskov

The president has also stressed that Belarus has no current plans to enter the conflict against Ukraine.  Of course not!   Belarus is the chihuahua which bravely barks from between the Doberman's front legs.  But I would like to have Lukashenko's hat.   I have a Taliban hat gifted to me by a friend who worked in Afghanistan.  It would be nice to add to my collection.

Russia claims to have shot down two Ukrainian drones with this missile battery. This is like the pre-show news.  But what is happening on the ships and within the aerial zone is much more exciting.
