Mission and morality can be antagonistic concepts.  Only mission accomplishment counts.  It is not amoral, but moral actions which derail a career.

Control creates the "accountability" which diminishes liability.

Is there that one thing which we will not do?  Or are there only those things which must not be brought to light?  For "national security", of course.
