The White House Chooses a Wife-Beater


I cannot prove the wife-beating claim.  But if Ahmadinejad banned the ladies and the men from riding in the same elevator, he will have clung to additional governance models of Islamic law.  Because Islam is governance which uses religion for coercive control of the population.  And none are more greatly restricted and controlled than the women.

Apparently, we don't care which bastard is in charge, as long as we hold the leash.  There are other bastards, of course, but they are on multiple leashes.  Self-elevated doggie  al Julani comes to mind. My guess is that Syria is the most meddled-in and meddlesome piece of geography on the planet at this moment in time.

But that the all-powerful "We" would even consider Ahmadinejad as a logical choice is on the same level as when analysts had the bright idea to parachute Chalabi into position during the Gulf War.  One of his first acts on arrival in Iraq was to visit a prison. He entered the prison yard and  was handed a pistol. He then shot a couple of his enemies in the head. This was the story relayed to the journalist. 

Yep.  We don't kill the man that is useful to us.  We merely appropriate him. This is the type of strongman that we prefer.  To hell with "democracy". It is just smoke and mirrors.  And if Ahmadinejad works with us; it does not really matter regarding the plight of the women, now does it?

Should Iranian women be offered the opportunity for a "Fatal Attraction" on an elevator?  Yes.  Because it is our very actions related to freedom which teach us about morality and our own future boundaries should we cross them during a momentary burst of raucous human sexuality.   Here is what I believe. Liberty is what teaches us what it means to be fully human.  Rules are the mirror for human flaws.  And certainly,  it is not a draconian and oppressive kalam (Arabic word for creed) which teach us how to best live.  

I want Iran to become a modern state regarding their women:  smiles showing in public, no veils or tents that pass for "fashion", and freedom of movement.  This cannot happen with Ahmadinejad.
