Evening Debriefing


 The Iranian strategic response to the recent US attacks, according to this assessment, consists of the complete closure of the southern passage of the Strait of Hormuz and the data indicates that this passage is now fully closed, and that Iran will not allow it to be reopened.

In return, in Iran, repair works were completed on the two railway lines that were damaged due to the American attack two nights ago in the provinces of Golestan and Khorasan, and they returned to service and resumed their activity.

(I saw images of the damage yesterday and it was minimal.)

During the Iranian attacks carried out over the past 48 hours on the Blue Base in Jordan and the Sheikh Port in Kuwait, U.S.-affiliated infrastructure and that of associated countries reportedly suffered widespread destruction.

The United States had transferred a large part of its command and control system for its military operations to Al Udeid Air Base Sheikh Port is also considered a vital facility for a number of secret U.S. military activities.

These attacks came, according to the account provided, in response to the American attack that occurred on Wednesday evening.

Severe Damage Inflicted on Patriot Systems in Jordan and Kuwait Reports indicated that the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) issued instructions to impose a complete media blackout on the extent of the damage resulting from these attacks.

We can forget that Lao Tzu proposed "Wu-wei" or passive achievement, which was the prior manner in which our Department of State engaged Tehran. Brute force does not always win the day. And while recognizing that our military is essentially built around the concept of the effective use of extreme violence, these actions are usually tempered by a Commander-in-Chief who understands the benefit of "festina lente", or make haste slowly.

After what was a significant and successful show of force in Venezuela which brought President Nicolas Maduro into custody on 3 January 2026, this wildly successful and popular-with-the-public operation fired up the imagination of President Donald J Trump. And in taking one "cause" and seeking to enforce the same "effect" against Iran - a grave miscalculation took place with regard to Iran's history, grit, and basic tenacity.

On small scale - the truth of the matter. Iran was in possession of a vast missile stockpile which had not been used against our sovereign borders. But Iran had a recent history of launching a barrage of missiles at Israel.

There is a proverb. If you pick up a dog by the ears, you will be bitten. In other words, do not meddle in affairs other than your own. I do not believe that Israel forced us into Operation Epic Fury, rather "We" found ourselves to be capable of launching such a mission - not understanding that a beginning does not determine the end of a thing.

I find that this is not producing the fairy tale ending which we had imagined. And what looked linear, has turned into a non-linear nightmare.
