Syria: Quadratic Equation

Logic should always be clad with a vest of uneasiness.  I continue to wear the vest, as I follow events in Syria.  The nation (if you can really call it that) is a quadratic equation.  A quadratic equation is just an equation that makes a parabola.  The parabola, is a mathematical shape.   Math provides practical and unassailable tools for us.  And like tools, connections beyond the standard use, can be used to complete the equation.   What is lacking, is intuitive grasp. What is lacking, is measurement of emotional pulse.  And were I to plug in an equation, it would be for cliff jumping. It can be exhilarating, if landing in a body of water.  Not as fun - if hitting with a thud on dry land. Every day, the current leadership in Syria pushes their population toward the abyss.

Logic should never fall prey to an optimistic belief that calm = stability.  Far from it.  Calm  wears the coat of totalitarianism.  Always. It is a primary signal of rotted wood beneath the veneer.  Such is the case with Syria.  What appears calm in the distance, belies a chaotic totalitarianism which terrorizes the general population.

And as a "tribe" - those engaged in the  (too-greatly-relied-upon)  field of political predictive analysis have shown that as a grouping, Darwin should have wiped this gene pool off the map a long time ago.  Analysts offer up some weird physics of gris-gris which is as dubious as your grandmother's canned okra; and as mysterious as most supernatural phenomena.   And empiricism only works if reported out truthfully - one hundred percent of the time and without whirl.

President al Julani/Shara'a continues to shove his ordinary citizens off the cliff.  Sure, they jump.  Kind of like the 200 who jumped from the windows of the Twin Towers when a terror network  decided to bitch slap us into the new century.  Back when Muslim clowns were flying our jets, al Julani was  a teacher in Syria.  This history is sketchy and hard to confirm in entirety.  But by 2003, he was firmly within the ranks of Al Qaeda in Iraq.  He went on to mangle and decapitate his way to greater Islamic glory.

Allahu Akbar - asshole.

Think tanks continue to cross-pollinate their enchantments.  Soon enough, these Towers of Babel create narrative headlines.  And the strophe and antistrophe of the Gregorian press monks rings out.  The provision for creation of the chants provides ample nourishment which sustains this continuous nonsense.

My work is not funded.  So what the Hell.  If you read what I write and remain unimpressed, I am just out two cups of coffee to write this post in streaming consciousness manner.

Take a look at this link:

President Trump remarked  regarding al Julani "... he has pulled that country together very quickly, he's very capable, and he's very good for me."

Affirmation, Baby!

I don't know about you, but I hate morally repugnant deep shit. And there is a lot of sheep dip going on in Syria,  and as to which of our 18 alphabet intelligence agencies are the source of information for our POTUS - as a journalist I am not privy to the fact.  But as a journalist, it is my job to continue to place the human component; the human faces before each of you.

This month, marked a year since the massacre of Druze in Suwayda by Al Julani's army. These were coordinated attacks mounted in waves.  Commemorative events were held in Canada and Australia.

Of course, the Alawites are also part of the parabola:

And the pillaging of their lands continues, after being occupied by government forces. This company was formerly the "Spoils Management Committee" of Hayat Tahrir al Sham. (i.e. booty of war) and half a dozen villages are effected.  You can also find the ads on the Telegram Channel.

(Posted twice - too lazy to delete.)

And don't get me started regarding the mistreatment and cruelty reserved for Christians (my faith) in Syria.

"Democracy" is a sham.  Al Julani chose 1/3 of the members of Parliament.   And Hamza Shammout has been elevated to the position of Secretary General of Parliament without any vote by the assembly; and assumed duties on 11 June, 2026 before the assembly session began; with no visible appointment process.  As a journalist, I cannot even begin the process of creating a decent dossier on this public figure.  There is not much out there to work with at the moment. This is troubling.  But then again, Al Julani has a nice coat.

None have fared worse than the women of Syria.  But then again, Islam's tribal kalam reduces women to property/cattle/half-the-worth-of-men chattel.

Personally, I have dealt with many self-righteous pricks throughout two decades of networking journalism.  Al Julani  is recognizable to me.

And to imagine it a great idea for American taxpayers to fund (in any part) the Syria military to clean up around the edges of HizbAllah is... morally repugnant deep shit.
