Karmelo Anthony


Texts which showed a desire to commit violent acts.  Graffiti which showed that Karmelo Anthony was a racist.  And a "gentleman's agreement" not to bring any of this to light.  

These are things which could have had a substantial bearing on the case, and yet they were omitted.

So now, the prosecutor scrambles.  He is speaking of some of the salient features which present an image of a troubled, aggressive, and violent offender who fantasied about licking the blood of a victim off the blade of his knife.

Political correctness which covers important truths for fear of heightened public emotional response is legal malpractice.  Law enforcement will deal with the noise outside the court room.  But what happens within the walls of the courtroom is vitally important.

Austin Metcalf's family deserves better.  And now they are forced to live this nightmare again.  State Prosecutor Bill Wirskye performed a great disservice against Metcalf's family by improperly prosecuting the case.  He was more worried about optics than truth. 

I had always wondered why Karmelo Anthony killed a complete stranger without provocation.  My best guess was it was a gang initiation which went sideways. It made no sense.  But now?  It makes perfect sense!

Karmelo Anthony is a crazy and dangerous son of a bitch who needs to be locked up forever for the protection of greater society.  Because when you fantasize about killing and then tasting the blood of your victim - you belong within a locked cell.  Homicidal ideations are rarely easily resolved in young adults.
