Maybe They Should have Kept the Old Map

My sense of humor caught up with me.  Maybe they should have kept the old map.  Africa really looks more f-cked up with the Equal Earth Design.

Just sweeping the map with my eyeballs, the issues are glaringly apparent.

Poland looks smaller than Botswana.

Poland's GDP:            1.13 trillion

Botswana's GDP:       21.94 billion

Germany is maybe one-third the size of Chad.

Germany's GDP:          5.45 trillion

Chad's GDP:                25.63 billion

The C.I.A World Fact Book can flesh out other disparities.  But in general - the primary issue for the 21st century (because you can't eternally blame everything on "colonization" and not take responsibility for your own generation) is... corruption.

Good governance within Democratic Republics is what makes the difference for citizens.  Dictatorships - whether it be the current one in Syria - or the additional sand pit dictatorships across the African continent, are sustained and nourished by corruption.

For the record:  Syria is near the bottom of the heap. Giving aid to Syria is like taking a match to warehouses of American dollars. Just a damn waste.

I supported President Donald J Trump's removal of a blighted USAID program, which in reality, worked to sustain what does not work in Africa.

In one hundred years, Africa will look and function in same manner, because Africans will not take the necessary steps to walk away from the clan politics which greatly harm their greater populations.

This is my prediction. And yeah - I have never been voted "most popular".
