The God of Molech


From Gaza to Sudan women have fled with their children on their hips and strapped across their backs to preserve their lives.  But in America, we seem incapable of identifying evil. So we give evil a medical designation.

Lindsay Clancy is a monster.  She strangled her three small children with ligatures.  And now we have another mother who trusses up her two year old son from a rafter with a ligature around his neck, allowing him to suffer a violent and painful death.

Neither mother suffered financial hardship.  Neither were they fleeing a conflict zone nor watching their children slowly starve to death.  Perhaps if Mrs. Clancy and Mrs. Walsh had been in fear of their own lives, they might have considered the lives of their children. Instead, from the comfort of their homes they committed calculated crimes.

But they might have been burdened with the flanking malady which I call "the boredom of the rich".    Epstein's Island was infested with wealthy, bored men who having found that their money could buy anything, now used that money to access the experience of raping small children.  Wealthy societies can be burdened with unique maladies and neurotic tendencies.  And in the extreme - mothers who murder their offspring just for the hell of it.

Sorry.  I am unable to reliably purchase the idea that "post partum" depression is an allowable escape hatch for child murderers.  It is interesting how linguistics can modify words to make certain actions more palatable.  "Therapeutic abortion" comes readily to mind.  American women bought into that myth for decades.  So it is just a small step forward for infanticide, toddlercide... etc.

What about "cancer treatment depression" that induces sacrifice to the God of Molech?  I have a friend who has endured a double mastectomy, several rounds of chemotherapy, multiple health setbacks - and yet, her children still receive adequate care.  Should she choose to kill them tomorrow, should we shed our tears for her? Or should we reserve them for her victims?

What about  "I lost my job depression".  Do we allow men to kill their wife and bloodline because of a career setback; offer up a medical designation to make sense of their evil?

Where does it stop?  What about, "My mother-in-law hates me depression..."  so I killed her grandchildren.
