The United Kingdom Chooses Balkanization


Deep inside the bowels of Porton Down, the scientists within an ultra-secretive biological weapons laboratory dutifully scanned their badges each day.  Their task,  was to determine how well the human body could endure a continuous and sustained assault by foreign substances.  As such, foreign substances were slowly introduced and the results annotated.

It was noted that a small introduction of foreign substances were recognized by the body as antigens but a scarcely discernible response was seen within the immune system.  This mild protective mechanism was then muted and degraded with a new hybrid type of cell, which were called "welcome mats".  

The Germans got a whiff of the research and started their own lab.  Soon - a secondary medical industry of "welcome mats" was underway.  Subsidized by Chancellor Angela Merkel, a bit of jealousy ensued at Porton Down, and the scientists increased the foreign substance load within their own experiments. 

The results, were interesting.  This created a preciously unknown type of phagocytes, which were given the name "Tommy Robinson".   The "Tommy's" got quickly to work and what was observed under the microscopes was the stuff of astounding discovery.  You can't make this shit up!  This is real science!

The European Union was so interested in the results, they chose to increase funding for all labs willing to study the topic. Everybody loves science!

France and Spain, of course, were also interested in research dollars.  Hence, they started their own programs.  Spain, in particular, decided to flood the human body with foreign substances with such a tremendous  success rate, they identified a new super phagocyte and named it "Ceuta".  Nothing like this had ever been seen!  The Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez has been on a speaking tour ever since then!

England - not to be undone - is about to take their experiment to the next level.  In honor of their latest target, a previously unnamed membrane on the cell has been given the name "Piddington".  Surprisingly, this cellular membrane has not ruptured as anticipated.  But there appears to be a level of cellular memory which is showing a hardening of defenses of the micro-host, and there is great excitement at Porton Down regarding this latest scientific breakthrough.

The United Kingdom begins to fracture.  And the societal fissures are widening.  It was all so avoidable. But this is what the political scientists of the United Kingdom have chosen:  Willful negligence and trampling on the rights of the English citizens by flooding the landscape with asylum-seekers from cultures foreign to the English traditions. 

The United Kingdom chooses Balkanization.  There will be many more Piddington's in the future.
