Wars of Perspective


After running a false flag operation to jump start public opinion of the need to enter an unnecessary battlespace, my nation later created a war memorial in Washington, D.C. to honor the 58,318 military members who made the ultimate sacrifice.  Vietnam was a war of perspective. And the Vietnam Memorial, a form of atonement.  

We would have been better off taking a step back to recognize that perspectives should not be the drivers for war; but deeply insightful wisdom should be the causative factor for engaging an enemy.

Today, the Annual Threat Assessment and the National Intelligence Estimate are great tools.  But it is possible that too heavy a reliance and sense of trust are attached to our intelligence agencies when considering acts of war. Yes, we need our alphabet agencies. But we need them as a litmus test, and not arbiters of truth.  Facts alone can be sterile products which look clean, crisp and free of bias, unless information gleaned from multiple additional sources are allowed to infiltrate the sterile field. Certain reports - can have the look of quarantine. wink

Our POTUS and Pentagon took intelligence facts.  From those facts they formed a perspective.  And that perspective was that a war with Iran was necessary.  But it is always a cautionary tale to side with the popular view, isn't it?

Where were the dissenting voices in the room?   Where were the men in uniform willing to say, "We have seen the facts.  But our perspective is that Iran will not necessarily pose a greater threat when nuclear capable;  rather the ThreatCon might actually increase if we do not  choose to continue to address this issue through diplomatic channels."

Tehran is reporting that a high-ranking U.S. military commander was killed  when the Ali al Salem base in Kuwait was attacked last night.  If true, family members will develop their own unique perspective and narrative to handle the loss.

On the Iranian side, when a wedding venue was struck last night and four civilians lost their lives and 68 were injured from one of our missile launches, these family members have also developed their own unique perspective and narrative to handle their losses.  Here is an image of one of the children from the wedding party taken to the hospital.



Tehran is claiming they were able to box our ears when three missiles cleared the air defenses for Camp Titin, in Jordan.  I viewed a video which seemed not to be AI generated - but I cannot confirm geo-location.  But here is a still image for one of the launches.


Iran is also crowing that USS Abraham Lincoln  arriving at her port of call in Laem Chabang, Thailand, looks a bit worse for the wear.


Our conflict with Iran began as a war of perspective.  And on any given day, dozens of experts appear willing to sacrifice their first-born sons to be seen as credible pundits against uncomfortable truths.  

What do I think?  We are not "winning" - if looking at measurable outcomes.  But then again - I also just offered my own perspective.
