Birth dates?  Also a big joke.  An older manner of determining age for school within Africa was for the child to pass their hand across their head and if their fingers could touch the top of their ear, it was assumed they were five years of age.

Caveat:  Within the Muslim community are many who state their day of birth is January 1st.  This is strong signal that they don't know when the hell they were born. They pick the first day of the year.  Check your data bases, kiddies. Locate the anomaly.

So let's say a new RepZilla comes to America and historical annotation shows a birth date of January 1st, which gives the individual status as an accompanied minor.  Maybe they were really born in June of the prior year, which makes them a legal adult. sigh  And maybe your "cousin" is really an individual who paid you to commit fraud on their behalf.

There are confidences to be kept, but one experience I had with documents and images  set me back on my heels.
