Firehose of Faith and Freedom

When you have a lawn, you have the occasional dandelion or patch of crabgrass. You must eradicate the weeds, or you’ll lose that soft patch for your kids to play on, or that spot where your buddies can sorely lose at cornhole. But like anything in life, the weeds are expected. We can usually deal with a few troubles as they pop up. We pluck them out and move along. Then there are the larger issues. Your pristine lawn is the perfect target for anthills and mole tunnels. One tip for you: Deal with underground yellowjacket nests after the sun goes down. If we zoom out, and look at America as our humble postage stamp of land, I’ll argue that she needs the same attentive care as our lawn. She needs the clean, fresh water of Liberty. It is the most essential element for Americans. We look to the Old World countries, and we see a heightened crackdown on Free Speech. People are even being arrested for silently praying. Why would that be? The main motivators for humans are Love and Fear, and wh...
A Trampling in the Gate   As a journalist, I take a few cues from  Old Testament prophets.  After all, they were the political pundits of the day, speaking "truth to power".   They were also a bit "shaken and not stirred" regarding their mission:  shaken by God for the delivery, but not particularly stirred regarding the outcome.  If God said it, the business was His to make it come to pass.  And on more than one occasion after delivery of a strong rebuke, a prophet would retreat in fear and await better days.  The bravery could be brief.   II Kings 7 recounts the story of Prophet Elisha offering up some needed good news, the torque on the story offered by a highly placed official, and the trampling in the gate of the same official all within a twenty-four hour window. Sounds like a news cycle to me.   So let's discuss the current trampling in the gate,  and the fallout from wretched journalism standards. Disinf...
Lithuania and the Miniaturization of War   Rather quietly, and without ostentation,  Lithuania has opened the first of an anticipated nine school campus to teach children as young as ten years to assemble, program and operate drones.  The Minister of Defense states,  "We are building serious military defense capabilities... for the neighborhood with Russia and Belarus does not allow for complacency." Aerial reconnaissance platforms that can detect threats and deploy swarm tactics or use directed energy are comforting thoughts for a nation the size of the state of West Virginia.  But this defensive posture is a bit akin to mustard gas (an offensive weapon); which is considered the "poor nation's" chemical option.   The LD50 of Lewisite cannot be compared to the LD50 of the organophosphate development of VX at the Porton Down Research Facility in the United Kingdom.   But we are seeing the miniaturization of war; and as it progresses, th...
Single Imprint Trauma     Yesterday,  a female Muslim clerk at "Family Dollar" complimented me on my outfit.  "You have a green blouse and a green purse.  It is my favorite color."   I have started to form a personal bond with her over many months. For her personality to shine through, I must first show interest in her.  Personalities remain hidden in the presence of strangers.  She is beginning to show me "who" she really is; not just the nameless, quiet clerk who scans a few items and places them in a bag. As she realizes that she can trust me - I will receive in return, the gift of her friendship. Naturally, when arriving home, I shopped at Amazon and purchased a green cross-body purse for her.  It was on my doorstep this morning and will be given to her tomorrow.  Community must always be anchored with love.   Tonight, I just returned home from a monthly volunteer activity at my church.  Continuing to assis...
Mayor Abdullah Hammoud: A Slave of Allah Let's put the skunk on the table:      https://x.com/Osint613/status/1968057543290392952 As a journalist, I have had correspondence with men who knew Osama bin Laden, and one in particular, who visited with him several weeks prior to 9/11.  I  had a vibrant friendship with a man inadvertently drawn into the circle for the successful assassination of a Chechen president.  My desire to capture the essence of Islam has taken me into a Hookah lounge late at night, into "observation status" in Shura council meetings, many years as a guest for Eid al Adha and Eid al Fitr meals, inside the circle of a coup and plans for a deposed president; women's parties and children's celebrations.  I have correspondence from a Grand Ayatollah in Lebanon and received mentorship under a legal Mufti for a decade.  In other words,  I have had a bit of "intrigue" along the way.  smile I carry a deep understanding o...
Evening Images     Just a few images posted to my other site.  The numbers are dwindling, so hopefully the readership are migrating to my new home here.  Albeit, I will post sporadically on the alternate site.  At the end of the month I will share the stats for this new "tiny home".  https://thelastenglishprince.wordpress.com/2025/09/17/evening-images-7/ Tammy Swofford
Charlie Kirk's Travels   In search of America,  Charlie encountered swift and violent shipwreck on the shores of Little Putterings.  Resting silently on the beach of his dreams, this is where the story really begins. Small in stature, the citizens puttered about their little lives  with their little thoughts.  A constant source of bickering was their obsessive  fascination with how to crack an egg.  In reality, it did not matter.  The initial crack would expose a fully-developed XX or XY pattern.  But then again, these quarrels were the signature of the short of stature and slight of build Little Putterings. Having never confronted the frame of a giant; the thought that such a giant even existed; brought tremendous fright. The startled citizens spoke with each other in their native tongue - called "mutterings".  A private language, one which now found itself exposed to the light of day, became both inflamed and exposed.  And when a ...
