September Stats for this Site I am trying to drive the traffic from the other site to this one.  Apparently, it is not always working. Russia is a surprise entry to this blog. But on the other hand,  "The Last English Prince" showed a view from Lithuania last month.  https://thelastenglishprince.wordpress.com/2025/10/01/stats-for-my-primary-site/
SecWar Hegseth Delivers a Fitness Report In iron-striking-iron manner Secretary of War Pete Hegseth confirmed the he is a force to be reckoned with - and that the force of war is both the reality which confronts us, but also that which  crafts a 21st century professional standing army. Just like an officer fitness report, his remarks use the standard bullet format for officer reviews.  Not only was he reviewing senior leadership.  He was putting them on notice for military training and readiness.  So let me use his bullets,  the verbal projectiles which will travel down range, onto the quarterdecks, deck plates, into the GPL tents used in our field training platforms, and to every sailor manning a submarine post within the choke points of our lanes of commerce. My comments will be proceeded with an asterisk.  "Foolish and reckless political leaders set the wrong compass heading and we lost our way." "We have to be honest. We have to say with our mouths what...
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth: The Force of War I came in late for the remarks of SecWar Hegseth.  I will need to return to view the complete remarks and post my thoughts. Excellent.  Very much needed. Tammy Swofford former LCDR USNR, NC
TikTok and Juvenile Emotional Plateau I read the Executive Order.  It is the demarcation of a territory. https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/09/saving-tiktok-while-protecting-national-security/ But what about this demarcation of a mysterious territory which is the size of a hand-held device?  Within this territory, an Intellectual Battlespace (IB) which seeks out the mind and emotions of a child.  TikTok is a land of insurgencies.  And the gregariousness to be found on the platform does not necessarily allude to friendliness.  It may be something entirely different.  What I do know - is that it is a social organization without love.  And sometimes, it can expose that which is inhuman within our own species. The "Benadryl Challenge" in 2023 killed a child; as did the "One Chip" Challenge.  The "Dusting" Challenge was basic huffing - and I had a teen friend who died from the practice years ago. We are confronted with "Johnny Somali...
The God of Imagination Briefing: What is the financial toll on houses of worship that provide layers of security for what our forefathers meant as a Constitutional guarantee?   I cannot locate a solid national metric.  There are sites which provide individual cost for campus security.  Misery always generates income.  Church security is a burgeoning service sector business. https://protectwithbear.com/blogs/news/church-security As we are fond of saying in Texas, Chuck Chadwick is the "local boy made good". He has a template.  And now he gets to sell it. https://gatekeeperstx.com/ I have done my part for the Lutheran church.  Months ago I pointed out to the family pastor that it is a short sprint from the narthex to the long, narrow corridor where we teach our children.  Imagine herding cattle into a pen.  But in this case, it would be akin to rounding up feral cats and dragging them down the hallway to the back exit.  The situatio...
Having the Gentle Conversation: Dr. Ian Roberts   The response was predictable enough, after a colleague read the prior post on Dr. Ian Andre Roberts. The cell phone discussion was yesterday.   Dr. Roberts was "assimilated"... contributed to his community.  Blather. This morning, the texts began. "Assimilation does matter."    Moralistic therapeutic responses do not impress me. "The shame is the bigotry motivating the persecution."    Above culture, is law. Yes, cultural wars and conversations can present as a burn pit of trash in the public square. This is called Freedom of Speech.    But governance is not a burn pit; it is a legal structure. On both sides, we have created a Ziggurat of zealotry as the discussions burn on and on.  But it must be remembered that a Ziggurat was always built with a core of mud brick which was then covered with baked brick.  It also had no internal chamber.  Each of you is capable of making t...
Dong Feng 17 I do not place images on this site.  But the image is making an appearance on X for the upcoming military parade.  Who doesn't love a parade? https://thelastenglishprince.wordpress.com/2025/09/27/dong-feng-17/ https://missilethreat.csis.org/missile/df-17/
Raping Cows It sounds like the name of a Death Metal band.  But it is the actual belief of a college student. Time stamp: 10:30  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwmqCVrkXWk Charlie Kirk.  Logical.  Teaching logic.  Dismantling propaganda and false narratives. Friendly.  Obvious love for a generation of youth.  They loved him back for his generosity of spirit. His impact is immeasurable.  A generation of young American adults who were mocked for their better angels (because of cultural wickedness) discover it is o.k. to have moral fiber and cherished convictions regarding God, country, and family.  It is o.k. to love America.  It is o.k. to be grateful for what America has to offer.   Charlie Kirk placed our young adults on a path of discovery. And he did it with grace and abundant humor. Rest in Peace, Charlie.  We trust them to take it from here.
Ian Andre Roberts:  Because Truth Counts Isn't it time to push back against the narrative that illegal aliens are "picking our crops... taking the low wage jobs..."  and don't we all feel like guilty-as-hell racists for questioning the common wisdumb? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15138851/Ian-Andre-Roberts.html It does not matter that Ian Andre Roberts has assimilated.  Neither does it matter that he has contributed to our nation.  Nor does it matter that he pays taxes. It matters that he lies.  It matters that he states he was born to immigrant parents and spent most of his formative years in Brooklyn, New York.   He lies.  And with his lies, he has denied  Americans with professional credentials, a shot at the future. Where are his parents now?  Did they follow him here after he received his education? Or are they still in Guyana?  What we do know is that "formative years" are ages birth to about eight years. He came h...
Status Unknown:  Seven Months In life,  love and heartbreak are generally intertwined. Time-stamped remembrances can be found on: https://thelastenglishprince.wordpress.com/ E mails to Qatar, reaching out to local family with physically-present conversation, cards, and gifts fall on deaf ears. The journalism prompts apply:  Who, what, when, where, why.   I know the "why". They want to be left alone. Secrets do not guard us.  They do not shield us.  They strip us naked.  Secrets destroy our souls.   Bereft seems the appropriate word for my status: https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/bereft Tammy
The DNI Obliterates a Polymer and a Cellular Group in One Blow It is a bit of shock and awe coming from DNI Tulsi Gabbard:  https://san.com/cc/gabbard-eliminates-global-trends-report-breaking-decades-old-precedent/ This report and the working group which produce it are effectively obliterated. https://www.dni.gov/files/ODNI/documents/assessments/GlobalTrends_2040.pdf I am reticent to invest time in reading a 156 page document.  But my prior reading experience affirms that what can start out as crisp empirical data can quickly shipwreck upon the shoals of political expediency, vanity projects and Frankenscience. When the U.N. embarked on issuing their Arab Human Development Reports, the initial product was informative and seemed to follow standard guidelines for methodology and research.  Gradually, I could detect the faint fingerprint of political persuasions skirmishing within the pages. Eventually, I tossed aside any reading of the aforementioned because of the smudges ...
James Comey has an Oprah Winfrey Moment A Federal Grand Jury in Alexandria, Virginia reviewed the evidence and issued a criminal indictment against James Comey.    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15135313/Former-FBI-director-James-Comey-indicted.html In what is a bizarre moment, the former director of the F.B.I.  decides it is entirely appropriate to "make his case" on Instagram.  Am I the only one who finds this distasteful? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPC1sFFD2iF/ If "fear is the tool of a tyrant",   what exactly does this mean with regard to a Grand Jury which has been lawfully convened to consider the merits of a criminal case? Are members of the jury tyrants, or are they merely citizens engaged in civic duty? "But I'm not afraid. And I hope you're not either."    Comey's voice drops slightly.  Not quite to the level of the infamous "Biden whisper", which was used when our former POTUS was trying to make a point.  ...
Revisiting the Story of the Islamic Tribunal in Irving, Texas Posters for the legal services had already been posted on the windows of Halal neighborhood stores. I knew about it long before the posters were distributed.  But how Mayor Beth Van Duyne approached it, catapulted her onto the national stage. Headlines: were splashy. https://www.cbsnews.com/texas/news/north-texas-home-to-first-islamic-tribunal-in-u-s/ The cartoon: unnecessary.   https://www.christianpost.com/news/texas-town-supports-forbidding-sharia-law-despite-plea-from-new-islamic-tribunal-mayor-says-citizens-need-to-respect-us-law.html The image:  still available:  https://www.islamictribunal.org/ And my memory of the Islamic Tribunal are closely tied into my decade of friendship with Dr. Yusuf Ziya Kavakci.  It remains a very pleasant journalism interlude which spanned a decade.  Attendance at an event where Dr. John Esposito spoke at a conference for Muslims in Dallas brought me into t...
Violet Garner:  An Illogical Adult Voice Yesterday, I would have called Violet Garner the latest victim of Stockholm Syndrome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqLfUfR5jRw She allowed the COVID 19 narrative to take her captive and relinquished her free will.    Ms. Garner dropped right into the hands of our government - who relished their role running the world's largest social laboratory.  Americans did not give informed consent for this experiment based on fear and coercion. We were expected to crumple under a relentless campaign of paranoia. Most of us were logical enough to survive it.  And here in Texas, some of us took down the "Maskites" with our bare fists when they dared to take it upon themselves to enslave us.  Ms. Garner is still in captivity and she is doing the bidding of her master.   Speaking at the U.N. General Assembly, she was Greta Thunberg - a foot taller and just as nonsensical. It was painful to listen to her crazy tho...
The AFUCK Coalition   President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the first American president to directly court the Jewish vote. This was about domestic politics.  But it was President Truman who caused an earthquake on the international stage, when in rapid manner, he offered Israel diplomatic recognition after the 14 May 1948 declaration of independence.  The State Department and our Pentagon were not in favor of this move.  But it was a vision-made-reality;  an idea whose time had come. The Jews achieved a sovereign state.  It was hoped that this sovereignty would provide not only security, but survival for the Jewish people.  But because location is everything -  this location - presented with unique challenges. Approximately five months after the UN General Assembly passed Resolution 181, Egypt mounted an attack on Israel.  The ink of independence leached and turned to blood on Israel's young soil when  Egypt bared her teeth with a wol...
Swofford Unleashed Be ready for "Swofford Unleashed" on the next post.  It is a writing style (possibly laced with profanity) which is reserved for presenting my best thoughts. https://ibloga.blogspot.com/2025/09/because-italy-refuses-to-recognize.html No apologies.  Absolutely none. Tammy
Ariel Abergel:  An Atomic Elbow Receives the Boot There is the face that launched a thousand ships.  And then there is the Instagram post that caused the killer bees to swarm. https://www.facebook.com/America250/posts/america-is-in-mourning-god-bless-charlie-kirk-/1211761074326320/ This is not really about freedom of expression.  It is about a breach of trust; a young adult too big for his britches; and a man who never developed a taste for chain of command and submission to authority. Mr. Abergel never learned the phrase, "Permission to speak freely, Sir."  He punched above his weight imagining that he could disparage seasoned leadership and get away with it.  He tried to leverage authority which he did not have and forgot that positional authority is granted as delegated authority, and in and of itself does not denote a specific (earned) rank associated with the task.    When I was in Fleet Hospital Dallas, far be it from me to blast what we f...
Memo Released Regarding Al Qaeda The United States National Counterterrorism Center issued a warning regarding Al Qaeda on 19 September.  https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/us-national-counterterrorism-center-warns-of-al-qaeda-attack-threats/ Did anyone else worry about an attack yesterday?  I have written three posts related to the 21st September revolution in Yemen.  Anniversary dates figure prominently in Islamic history. Think of the Battle of Karbala.  This is what the Shia' rituals of Ashura commemorate. https://thelastenglishprince.wordpress.com/2018/09/07/yemen-revolution-september-21/ I choose the above post - because Rune Agerhus has found his digital footprint scrubbed a bit.  I first came across him several years ago when he posted a video which surpassed all known ethical boundaries for journalism.  I sent a concern upstream.  But he also produced some very high quality videos depicting the Yemeni struggle.  He paired the im...
Erika v Donald Trump: Cutting the Baby in Half Doge's Palace in Venice depicts the Biblical story with a three-dimensional sculpture.  Renaissance masters have taken the gift of imagination and a paintbrush to remind us of a puzzling event which required profound wisdom.  Which woman is the real birth mother of the baby? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judgement_of_Solomon In the final minutes of a five-hour memorial service for Charlie Kirk the audience experiences a "cut the baby in half" moment.  Does that baby belong to Erika or does it belong to President Trump?  The widow tells us that she forgives the man who assassinated her husband in brutal manner.  The POTUS firmly lets us know he hates his opponents. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15121073/trump-charlie-kirk-widow-erika-forgive-assassin.html Let me make a quiet suggestion.  That baby belongs to all of us. Years ago, I listened to a minister deliver the eulogy for a man who was snatched f...

Charlie Kirk Memorial: Live Blog: The Largest Church Service in Human History

Live Blogging:  Charlie Kirk Memorial Blackfoot is comfortably snoozing in a different time zone.  So I will go ahead and start the post.  Undoubtedly, when I return to the desktop, Blackfoot will have added a few thoughts and I will enter the arena again. Security.  The word floated across my consciousness several times yesterday.  The perimeter of two stadiums and parking lots must be secured for the Charlie Kirk Memorial.  Within full envelope surveillance are tricks of the trade which most of us are unaware of - in blissful manner. Problematic, is not only an estimated crowd of 100,000 souls, but the abbreviated timeline to secure the venue.  We had a friend who worked full-time providing security for the Dallas Cowboys Stadium when it was in Irving, Texas.  When the team hosted the Super Bowl in 2011, several alphabet agencies were involved in securing the space for weeks in advance.  Every can of nacho sauce, toilet paper, and toothpick...
HPV Vaccinations in Oaxaca, Mexico    "El que tiene el polvo de Mexico en su corazon no lo puede quitar", is a true statement.   I love Mexico. "Cancion Mixteca" which was written to honor Oaxaca and their Mixtec population is a classic song.   "O tierra del sol, suspiro por verte."   The Mixtec are one of nine indigenous tribes populating Oaxaca valley and the surrounding mountains. I  lined up in sixth grade at the local public school in Oaxaca and received the BCG vaccination. I still have a small keloid formation because it was not placed into the deltoid muscle, but up higher, almost on the shoulder blade.   Catching up on the news today,  I took note that 34,150 school age Oaxacan children received the HPV vaccine this week. Did this make the U.S. news?  I dunno. https://oaxaca.quadratin.com.mx/aplicaran-34-mil-dosis-de-vacuna-contra-el-vph-en-oaxaca/ Since 2016, Gardasil 9 has been the only HPV vaccine offere...
Live Blogging Tomorrow   This site will provide live blogging for the Charlie Kirk Memorial event.  DHS has designated it a Level I special event security rating. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/charlie-kirk-memorial-service-federal-security-efforts/ Blackfoot and I will cover it from our desktops, chatting back and forth, or texting our thoughts to each other.  Also - as an administrative note,  this site is a fenced asset with the fencing constructed of ordinary words.  smile  Any posts with images will appear on the secondary site, such as the ones posted today. https://thelastenglishprince.wordpress.com/2025/09/20/kim-jong-un-signs-of-aging/ The intent is for the reader to open this page and read without the distraction of  attached images, graphs, memes, etc.  It will be a more distilled product.  Just the work of wordsmith elves who love America and hold fast to our Constitutional liberties. The Rise of GEN III In single-handed manner, a female student brought down a Texas A & M professor, department head and a dean.   And in a shocking turn of events, Mark A. Welsh III has now announced his resignation from his post as president of the university. Five p.m. today - and he will be gone. There was no fractious ambiguity, as can be noted in sidewalk altercations.   A polite but timid question was voiced to a professor.  And in one short minute, this unknown student accomplished the take-down of one of Texas' most revered institutions of higher education. She is the mouse that roared.  But she is so much more.   The rancid scent of what has been hoisted upon this generation is akin to the odor of maggots on dead flesh.  Who ever thought that teaching moral turpitude to young children, teens, and young adults was a great idea? A sensible and courageous new generation has full intention to win this fight. Let me introduce you to G...
